Overview
The Human Resources Assistant (GS-5) role focuses on ensuring efficient people operations, providing HR support across the employee lifecycle, and assisting with recruitment, transactions, learning, and culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Accelerate recruitment & placement by posting vacancies, coordinating candidate communications, and tracking steps.
- Ensure accurate and reliable HR transactions by initiating and verifying personnel actions and maintaining digital records.
- Support learning and performance cycles by helping organize trainings and processing administrative requirements.
- Support career development and culture initiatives by coordinating learning activities and recognition efforts.
- Deliver service with care by handling queries with sensitivity and discretion.
- Drive continuous improvement by using HR systems and proposing process fixes.
Required Experience
At least 5 years of progressive relevant work experience in Human Resources or related fields.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in Human Resources, Organizational or Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Labor or Employee Relations, or related fields.
