Internship opportunity supporting UNDP Country Offices with ICT solutions, focusing on communication and collaboration tools.


Key Responsibilities
  • Work on Telephone Request and Cell Phone Ordering.
  • Support Video Conferencing service for UNDP offices.
  • Resolve video conferencing issues for live calls.
  • Schedule conferences using a centralized administration system.
  • Test new software/firmware updates and push firmware updates to video codecs.
  • Monitor conference performance and statistics using cloud portal.
  • Take corrective action to resolve issues.
  • Participate in production integration of new sites.
  • Update documentation and train local site support.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff members on MS Teams and Zoom.
  • Prepare and publish internal documentation and knowledge base articles.
Required Experience
  • Knowledge in networking and network security (TCP/IP, NAT, firewalls), video conferencing, cloud telephone.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft collaboration and productivity Tools: Microsoft Teams Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of communications and collaboration platforms, particularly video conferencing platforms.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of web standards and technologies is an advantage.
  • Experience with gathering, consolidating, and analysing data from different sources is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
  • Applicants must be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
  • Applicants must have recently graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.

Remuneration
• Monthly stipend, rate varies depending on duty location. • Where an intern is engaged in-person and is not financially supported by any institution or programme, a monthly “in-person” stipend rate is USD1,000. • A remote reduced stipend is paid by the receiving office.
