Overview

Provide professional assistance in data collection and analysis, reporting, and programme development and management. Contribute to the formulation of programme goals and objectives, and support a rights-based approach to programming.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to country programmes by supporting knowledge management through data collection and analysis, reporting, and participation in programme knowledge systems.
  • Provide professional technical assistance in programme development and management, including situation analysis, monitoring implementation progress, and drafting work plans.
  • Monitor programme implementation progress and compliance, and take actions to optimize the use of programme funds.
  • Undertake field visits to monitor and assess programme implementation and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support a rights-based programmes approach, contributing to programme formulation, strategy development, and implementation frameworks.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to local government authorities for capacity building and programme sustainability.
  • Analyze programme-related issues and policies from a children's and women's rights perspective and advocate at community and family levels.
  • Facilitate partnership and collaboration with internal and external counterparts to improve data collection and dissemination.
  • Represent UNICEF in the area of responsibility, participate in meetings and events, and advance the agenda for children.
  • Facilitate, take, and implement measures to ensure safety and security of UNICEF staff and assets.
  • Ensure proper use of UNICEF assets according to UNICEF policies and regulations.
  • Lead the Sub Office team and manage performance and conduct of staff members.
Required Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience is required. Experience working at local level is considered as an asset. Background/familiarity with emergency is considered as an asset.

Qualifications

A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Social Sciences, International Relations, Government, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, Engineering or another relevant technical field.
