Overview
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Logistics Department seeks a competent Mechanic in Kharkiv to ensure preventive maintenance and repairs on ICRC vehicles and other logistics equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee all maintenance, including vehicles, generators, and forklifts, ensuring adherence to manufacturer recommendations and operational standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, service schedules, and repairs for all fleet assets, coordinating with external workshops and ensuring quality control
- Conduct daily/weekly vehicle checks, supervise vehicle preparation for field trips, and ensure compliance with safety and security rules
- Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts, equipment, and tools for fleet maintenance, including raising orders, verifying invoices, and updating stock records
- Manage fuel management systems, ensure vehicles are refueled as required, and complete relevant documentation accurately and promptly
- Operate ICRC vehicles, transport personnel and goods as directed, while ensuring compliance with documentation requirements and safe transport practices
Required Experience
Two years of work experience in a similar position
Qualifications
Technical school degree or equivalent experience
