Overview
The Economic Security Generalist 3 designs, plans, implements and monitors the ICRC’s Economic Security (EcoSec) programs in Gaza, contributing to the country program's EcoSec general and strategic contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine data collection tools and databases.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and interpret market information.
- Use the household economy approach to identify economic security gaps and design response scenarios.
- Design and implement EcoSec programs, managing planning, logistics, execution, and reporting.
- Establish transparent beneficiary registration methods and apply accountability best practices.
- Ensure standardized monitoring and sharing of lessons learned.
- Organize and carry out monitoring activities.
- Provide timely analyses and updates on factors affecting ICRC operations.
- Maintain and update networks of interlocutors.
- Collect, analyze, and proactively share information on the humanitarian situation.
- Plan and participate in field visits and prepare field trip reports.
- Support internal reporting.
- Support administrative processes.
- Ensure quality in statistical reporting.
- Coordinate with food security, shelter, and NFI actors.
- Build and sustain relationships with PRCS representatives.
- Contribute to capacity building of PRCS volunteers.
- Support implementation of food, NFI, agricultural, livestock, and income-support initiatives.
- Contribute to regular assessments of conflict-related needs and restrictions.
- Supervise emergency and early recovery program implementation.
- Monitor projects and escalate implementation risks.
- Provide analysis and propose response options for strategies.
- Coordinate closely with other departments.
- Oversee and assess community engagement quality.
- Represent the EcoSec team in multi-stakeholder platforms.
- Contribute to preparation of project documentation.
- Contribute to the ICRC Planning for Results process.
- Supervise, mentor, support, and evaluate EcoSec staff.
- Assist in organizing and delivering capacity-building activities.
Required Experience
6 years overall professional experience, including 3–5 years' experience in a similar field of activity.
Qualifications
University degree in economics, anthropology, agronomy, veterinary science, nutrition, public health or considerable experience in the humanitarian field.
