Overview
The Programme Analyst will analyse and assess political, social and economic trends to guide and facilitate the delivery of UNFPA’s CSF programme and support other programmes. The role involves managing the EU CSF programme through timely and high-quality delivery of outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the country programme through the CSF programme and its component projects.
- Ensure appropriate financial and programmatic monitoring and oversight mechanisms are established and implemented.
- Analyze and interpret the political, social and economic environment relevant to UNFPA activities.
- Prepare briefs and inputs for policy dialogue, technical assistance coordination, and development frameworks.
- Establish collaborative relationships with executing agencies, experts, government counterparts and other UN agencies.
- Assist in implementing knowledge management strategies to capture lessons learned and best practices.
- Support the advocacy and resource mobilization strategy of the CO.
Required Experience
- Two years professional experience in the field of development and population activities.
- Experience in programme/project management.
- Practical experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
- Experience using office software packages and web-based management systems.
- Working experience with implementing partners and NGOs is an asset.
- Knowledge of reproductive health and/or gender and/or protection is an asset.
- Working experience with an international organization is an asset.
- Familiarity with UN procedures and working methods is an asset.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science discipline.
