Overview

The intern will provide support in the implementation of outreach material, web-related activities, and social media efforts for the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support in logistical preparations for large meetings and conferences.
  • Support communication outreach to widen awareness of the importance of nuclear safety and security.
  • Support and research of information for web related articles and social media.
  • Support in providing overviews, graphic development as well as analyses.
  • Draft and publish posts on a regular basis and produce and develop stories, features and other outreach material for use in social media, the web site and print.
  • Support in preparation of outreach material, such as leaflets, information brochures, newsletters, presentations, meetings and meeting notes.
  • Participate in the enhancement of information sharing or knowledge management systems.
Required Experience

Experience with the design and development of communication materials on complex technical topics.

Qualifications
  • University degree in Communication, Design, Political Science, International Relations or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 2010, which is the IAEA standard (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio), and the ability to use databases.
  • Skills in document management.
Other Details
Languages Required
Excellent oral and written command of English.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French and Russian) is an asset. Fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset.
