Overview

Consultant to coordinate and implement projects funded by the Swedish National Commission for UNESCO and manage knowledge on gender equality within the framework of the 2005 Convention.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Field Offices and partners for project implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Prepare progress reports and develop monitoring tools.
  • Contribute to project visibility and communication materials.
  • Liaise with UNESCO services and partners.
  • Prepare a report consolidating and analysing information on gender equality projects.
  • Elaborate recommendations for mainstreaming gender equality.
  • Draft a concept note for a thematic webpage on gender equality.
  • Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of evidence related to gender equality.
Required Experience

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience acquired in the field of culture of which a minimum of 3 years at international level.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree) in disciplines in the field of culture.

Other Details
Languages Required
Excellent knowledge of both English and French (speaking, reading and writing) and good knowledge of the other language.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another UNESCO official language will be an asset.

Remuneration
A competitive fee for the assignment quoted in EUR (or USD) and expressed on a monthly basis.
