Overview
Provide technical support for the energy efficiency component of the "Forest Resilience in Armenia" project, focusing on woodstove technology analysis, adaptation, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and record wood stove requirements for target households.
- Review vocational school mapping to identify training gaps.
- Review national policy documents related to rural energy access.
- Conduct a comparative analysis of existing woodstoves, assessing performance, affordability, functionality, and scalability.
- Record outcomes of reviews and analysis in presentations and project briefs.
- Provide support for validation and acceptance of laboratory testing results.
- Prepare tender documentation for woodstoves and participate in evaluation.
- Facilitate approval processes and oversee woodstove delivery.
- Develop guidance materials on safety measures for woodstove production, testing, and use.
- Organize and deliver training activities for producers.
- Support identification and selection of woodstove recipients and beneficiaries.
- Support woodstove installation and perform other related tasks.
- Assist International Experts during visits and via electronic communication.
- Assist in designing required training materials, if necessary.
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in heating, heat assessments, energy efficiency, household heating demand, heating appliances (design and selection), or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement processes, including drafting technical specifications, tender documentation, and technical evaluation of bids.
- Experience in wood stove selection, certification requirements, and procurement process at significant scale.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a closely related field.
