Overview
The Programme Officer provides support to VNRC projects, ensuring they strengthen VNRC's mandate and core services. The role involves management support for projects in various sectors and overseeing the implementation of the CCD unified plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Support VNRC in planning and implementing projects.
- Guide VNRC in developing emergency plans of actions, submitting DREF requests and launching Emergency Appeals.
- Provide technical advice in all project areas.
- Promote opportunities for VNRC personnel to develop project management capacities.
- Promote the integration of National Society Development (NSD) interventions.
- Support VNRC with the development of their human resources involved in disaster management.
- Facilitate regular coordination among IFRC network partners.
- Support mechanisms for coordinating the support of Movement and other partners.
- Promote and engage in systematic monitoring and evaluation of IFRC-supported projects.
- Prepare accurate and timely project reports.
- Accountable for achievement of results under the Viet Nam component of the IFRC CCD unified plan.
- Responsible for the overall day-to-day management and coordination of projects and operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and agreements.
- Organize archives of all reports and documents.
Required Experience
- Field experience in coordinating and managing disaster and crisis management projects and activities (Required)
- Experience in project cycle management, including proposal development, budgeting, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation (Required)
- Good knowledge of and relevant work experience within the regional context (Required)
- At least 5 years of disaster management experience, including staff management (Preferred)
- Work experience with the Movement (Preferred)
Qualifications
- Relevant university education or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience (Required)
- ERU, FACT, or RDRT training (Preferred)
