Overview

The Logistics Product Information Specialist role contributes to MSF's social mission by ensuring the availability of trusted, standardized, and high-quality product information for the whole MSF movement. This role supports field operations, supply chain performance, and interoperability through centralized data stewardship.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, evaluate, and process requests for new, modified, or removed products.
  • Consolidate and validate information on product description, quality, pricing, field testing, and maintenance requirements.
  • Manage the data product lifecycle and prioritize improvements.
  • Collaborate to standardize products across MSF operations.
  • Ensure and maintain the high quality of product information in the UniData tool.
  • Govern the central database and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Responsible and accountable for the accessibility and visibility of product information.
  • Design, implement, and enhance processes related to data requirements, product codification, and multilingual labelling.
  • Develop policies, guidelines, and training materials for database users.
  • Collaborate in the implementation of a new ecosystem replacing UniData.
Required Experience

At least five years of professional experience in a technical role: supply chain management, or in one of the following logistical fields: mechanics, electronics, energy, water and sanitation. Field experience preferably with MSF or NGOs in developing countries. Strong knowledge of Logistics Product Information, preferably MSF Product Information.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field e.g., supply chain management, or in one of the following logistical fields: mechanics, electronics, energy, water and sanitation.
