Overview
Provide technical support to UNICEF's engagement with DSU, focusing on child-centered foresight, anticipation, and preparedness assessment components.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to UNICEF's engagement with DSU.
- Focus on child-centered foresight, anticipation and preparedness assessment components.
Required Experience
- Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- disaster risk reduction and preparedness;
- emergency management;
- resilience and shock-responsive systems;
- public policy and institutional strengthening;
- social protection, education, child protection or related social sectors;
- programme design, research, assessment and policy analysis.
- Experience supporting governments, international organizations, UN agencies, development partners or research institutions.
- Demonstrated experience preparing technical reports, analytical papers, evidence syntheses and policy recommendations.
- Experience facilitating or supporting multi-stakeholder consultations, workshops or technical working groups.
- Experience working on child-centred, community-centred or inclusive approaches to preparedness and resilience is an asset.

- Other relevant fields related to preparedness, resilience and social policy.
A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) combined with additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
