Overview
Provide legal information, orientation, and assistance to displaced persons, individuals with international protection needs, and vulnerable migrants. The role supports the implementation of the ICLA project portfolio and contributes to the development of legal strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines.
- Support the implementation of the ICLA project portfolio according to the action plan.
- Implement ICLA procedures and activities as delegated.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the ICLA competence in the territory.
- Organize and execute tasks according to priorities and standards.
- Contribute to solving daily problems according to agreed procedures.
- Prepare and develop reports required by ICLA or area management.
- Manage information appropriately and securely, in compliance with data protection standards.
- Promote and share ideas to strengthen support functions.
- Support the implementation of PSS activities included in the Country Office Action Plan.
- Attend relevant PSS Basic Package training modules.
- Provide input for the design of legal strategies and activities for ICLA services.
- Implement information, orientation, and legal assistance activities for specific populations.
- Foster participation of individuals, families, and communities in humanitarian emergencies.
- Support the preparation of reports on Rapid Needs Assessments (RNAs).
- Collect key information from all project competences and articulate with institutional entities.
- Identify, document, attend, refer, and follow up on cases.
- Carry out legal assistance activities and/or prepare legal documents.
- Implement internal training activities for public officials and other organizations.
- Monitor and close cases and/or legal assistance.
- Evaluate main issues requiring legal attention for strategic litigation analysis.
- Facilitate ongoing feedback on case analysis to field teams.
- Accompany and report on activities of Technical Tables or working groups.
- Adequately register collected information and maintain the beneficiary database updated.
- Prepare quantitative and qualitative reports on services provided.
- Support the effective achievement of project logical framework objectives and indicators.
- Conduct context analysis on vulnerabilities, risks, and threats.
- Promote and share suggestions, innovation, and feedback to strengthen the ICLA competence.
- Promote community integration activities.
- Execute other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

- Experience in the implementation of the ICLA project portfolio.
- Experience in providing information, orientation, and legal assistance.
- Experience in identifying, documenting, attending, referring, and following up on cases.
- Experience in carrying out legal assistance activities and/or preparing legal documents.
- Experience in implementing training activities.
- Experience in monitoring and closing cases and/or legal assistance.
- Experience in conducting context analysis on vulnerabilities, risks, and threats.
- Experience in promoting community integration activities.
