Overview
The role of a Driver involves operating official vehicles for staff transportation, maintaining vehicle logs, and ensuring vehicle upkeep. Additionally, the role includes messenger duties for collecting and delivering documents, and assisting with office-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive WBG staff to meetings and client sites, adhering to safety policies.
- Maintain a daily logbook for the official vehicle.
- Maintain office vehicles, including routine checks and ensuring service schedules are up to date.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, properly equipped, and fueled according to policies.
- Collect and deliver official letters, invoices, and parcels.
- Keep organized daily logs of communications and paperwork.
- Prepare annual summaries of office-level communications.
- Assist in archiving key documents and digitalizing critical paperwork.
- Put together and keep up-to-date organograms/structure of stakeholders.
- Support the Assistant to the Resident Representation in day-to-day tasks.
- Be responsible for office-related issues including supplies and equipment.
- Prepare and keep up-to-date the full inventory of office supplies and equipment.
- Maintain a regular logbook of the office’s inventory.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years’ driving experience.
- Defensive driving skills training will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of UN system security procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with Very High Frequency (VHF) Radios is a plus.
- Good knowledge of the city of Malabo and surrounding areas of Bioko Island.
- Knowledge of the continental part is desirable.
Qualifications
- Minimum of secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Holding a tertiary education professional training is a plus.
- Holding a valid driver’s license.
- Professional driver’s license and/or international driver’s license will be an asset.
