Overview
The Regional Movement Cooperation Coordinator leads and manages ICRC engagement in five Central Asian countries, developing the Movement cooperation strategy and providing analysis of Movement dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Guides the development of joint procedures and operational partnership arrangements.
- Oversees risk-management and accountability activities related to Movement partnerships.
- Integrates and applies Movement policies and framework into daily work.
- Supports the participation of National Societies (NSs) in Movement events.
- Provides support to NSs in case of emergencies and guides missions to ensure a Movement collective approach.
- Supports NSs in their analysis of external stakeholders and advises on operational agreements.
- Coaches team members to develop skills for working with Movement partners.
- Contributes to organizing/facilitating Cooperation-specific or Movement courses and workshops.
Required Experience
- 10 years professional experience.
- Minimum 1-2 assignments as Movement Cooperation Coordinator.
- 1 Experience in international humanitarian work at the ICRC or another Movement Component (NS and/or International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies).
- Professional experience in programme management.
- Proven record in building and developing networks and partnerships (Movement or other).
Qualifications
University Degree (Masters’ in International Relations, Political Science or related field).
