Overview

The Logistics Officer (Funds Management) will support the management of supply chain financial resources for the Yemen Country Office, overseeing the Funds Management function and providing analytics for supply chain operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain plans, procedures, and operations.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data, and prepare reports and dashboards.
  • Partner and collaborate with counterparts across Country Office functions.
  • Support monitoring of supply chain activities.
  • Guide support staff.
  • Contribute to preparedness actions and support emergency response operations.
  • Standardize Supply Chain funds management processes and develop SOPs.
  • Supervise Supply Chain payment processing and provide financial advice.
  • Carry out Supply Chain financial planning activities, including cash flow forecasting and FTC budgeting.
  • Monitor, reconcile, and report on Supply Chain funds utilization.
  • Implement and maintain corporate financial tools, systems, and controls.
  • Ensure accurate financial tracking and reconciliation during project closures, resource reallocations, and resource transfers.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documents, funding proposals, budgets, and financial status reports.
  • Participate in relevant Country Office committees and governance forums providing advice on funds status, budget performance, and resource utilization.
Required Experience

Total relevant 5 years of experience including 1 year of Professional experience in the use of supply chain information systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Experience in preparing, implementing, and monitoring budgets. Demonstrated experience in supervising small to medium-sized teams. Desirable Experience in supporting analytical and conceptual work on supply chain strategy and implementation. Experience in designing plans and operational scenarios in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders. Experience in troubleshooting and solving operational issues.

Qualifications

Advanced University degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
