Provide technical and analytical support for strengthening national systems for disaster risk management, shock-responsive social protection, and disaster risk financing. Focus on emergency preparedness, rapid response, climate risk analysis, and vulnerability assessment.
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in climate risk analysis, disaster risk management, early warning systems, food security and nutrition analysis, vulnerability assessment, or related fields. Demonstrates strong skills in assessment/survey design, data analysis, and reporting. Has experience using statistical analysis, and data collection/visualization tools such as SPSS, Stata, R, Python, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, KoBoToolbox, ODK, or similar platforms. Demonstrates proficiency in GIS and Remote Sensing applications (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, GEE) for spatial analysis, and production of maps. Has experience working with government institutions, development partners, or humanitarian organizations in disaster management, climate adaptation, food security, nutrition, or resilience-building initiatives. Has experience in facilitating technical training, coaching, and capacity strengthening for government counterparts and partners.
Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in Climate Science, Meteorology, Hydrology, Disaster Risk Management, Geography, GIS, Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Food Security, Nutrition, Data Science, or a related field.
